Trip to Phoenix

Over the last weekend I went out to Phoenix to see my good friend LeeAnn. Jake was very sweet to brave the kids alone all weekend so I could go and have a little break and a trip by myself. They seem to have survived so that is the good news. :) LeeAnn and I had a great time! We enjoyed eating out, going to movies, late night talks and even a little bit of sun. People tell me that it's supposed to always be sunny, but I mostly saw rain, so I don't know what I think about that theory! We also went Ballroom Dancing which was great! LeeAnn was a good sport for going with me, I know it's not her favorite thing but I haven't been in a very long time and I had a fabulous time! So thanks LeeAnn for going and thanks to like 20 year old Fabio (yes that was really his name) for being a great dancer and humoring me. Here are some pictures, I only took some of the dancing and forgot to get my camera out the rest of the trip... I guess you can tell where my priorities are... :)

Happy Valentine's Day

We had a great Valentine's day at our house! Saturday Jake and I went out to a movie and dinner. Thank you to my parents for watching the kids! It was fun to have a Valentine's date night. :) Then on Sunday Nana and Gramps gave the kids some stuffed animals and candy and I'm sure you can tell by the picture, they were just a little excited! And yes I have a child that doesn't like to wear clothes... We also made sugar cookies and had some friends over for dinner. Hope all of you had a great Valentine's as well!!

Ranger Rides

Yesterday we took our kids out for a ride on the new Ranger. For those of you keeping track, we sold the Rhino and bought a Ranger so we can fit all the kids without having to ride anyone on my lap. We were babysitting our neighbor boys so they came with us. The kids all had a great time! Shalise has had croup too so we thought it would be good to get her out in the cold air. It seems to have worked because she's not coughing anymore. So who says you can't have fun and cure croup at the same time? :)

Pretending it's warm enough...

Today we thought we'd pretend that it is warm enough to go out for a walk. It actually didn't end up being that bad with the sun out. It was nice to get out of the house and the kids had a great time. Carson got tired of walking towards the end so who says a wagon can't fit 3 kids right?

Rainy Days

So the 4 inches of ice that we've had sitting in our parking lot melted into water this morning and the kids couldn't have been more excited! And since it was rainy a little bit they broke out the umbrellas they got for Christmas and jumped through puddles. They got pretty wet but had tonz of fun!

Going to the potty--backwards

So today Marcus told me that he had to go to the potty backwards, so I said Ok, whatever that means, just go! So I go to see if he's done and this is what I see:

He really was going to the potty....backwards. Silly kid!

Big Girl Bed!

Here is Shalise in her new big girl bed! She loves it!
