Little Red Dress

Since Shalise hasn't gone to church yet and won't be for a couple more weeks, I have these little dresses for her that people gave me that are soon going to be too small. So I've started putting them on her so she'll be able to at least wear them a couple times before she grows out of them. This one was given to her by her aunt Tashina and looks very cute on her! It was fun to get her all dressed up and "girly". I also managed to get some half-smiles out of her! :)

The Girls

It has been so much fun having a little girl to put cute little clothes on and fun little bows in her hair. And now I don't feel so outnumbered by the boys! I love it when Shalise is actually awake and I can hold her and try to get her to smile and make cute faces. This is one of the few pictures that I have of her wide awake and not asleep! :) I love her big brown eyes and all her fun hair, she is such a cute baby!

Snug as a Bug

Shalise's new favorite position for napping is to get all snuggled up on her stomach with her little little legs tucked up underneath her. She looks so comfy and peaceful. The funniest thing is that she doesn't like it as much on chairs or flat surfaces, she likes to lay that way the most on her bouncer. It doesn't seem very comfortable but she looks so content. I love to watch her sleep.

RSV

Unfortunately Shalise was not able to escape the much dreaded RSV season. She really didn't have many symptoms other than a cough but once we noticed that she was breathing much faster than normal, I called the pediatrician and was told to take her to Primary Children's where sure enough, she had RSV. So I was there with her for a few days and she is now on the road to recovery. Luckily she has a pretty mild case and didn't even have a fever so after helping her breathe with some oxygen and replenishing her fluids with an IV, she did really well and we were fortunate to not have to stay very long. They told me that with how bad RSV is this year and her being a preemie, she really didn't stand a chance and would have probably got it regardless. So hopefully now that she's had it, she'll be done with and won't get it again! Here are some pictures at the hospital. She looks like she's screaming in the second one, but really she is just using her entire body to yawn and stretch. :)

And here are some today of her resting at home and getting better:
