Ice Skating "Date" with Carson

My work rented out the Olympic Oval for this afternoon and gave us all free tickets. I decided to just take Carson to try it out. He was very excited and kept saying he was going on a date with mom. (He gets jealous when mom and dad go on dates...) I wasn't sure how he would do but I tell you this kid sure picks up on things quickly! He used the little walker in the beginning but ditched it pretty quickly. I think he really only liked it cuz he could go really fast with it. But soon he was wiping out on purpose and telling me not to help him because he could do it himself. By the end he was turning in circles and skating next to me like a pro! Here are some pictures and a video of him skating by himself right before we left.

Here is a video of Carson:

If you want something done, you have to do it yourself!

I think Shalise got sick of asking for a bowl and took matters into her own hands! Will someone please get the girl a bowl!!

And The Snow Is Back...

Just when we thought Spring may be around the corner, it snows again... The kids were probably more excited than I was! It's already starting to melt though, so I told them they better hurry and go play before it's gone! They had a great time:

It May Not Be Spring Yet...

...But that doesn't mean we can't have some fun outside! And hope we don't freeze in the meantime... We have tried to go out at least for a little while every day. The kids love to ride their scooters and play. Carson finds whatever small amount of mudpile he can so he can drive his cars in them. So the days that we've had more rain, Carson ends up coming inside completely covered in mud and water from head to toe. Oh well, boys will be boys and I guess if it makes him happy then I can always throw it in the wash! Here are some recent pictures and hopefully the next ones have some sun in them!! :)

The Giggle Twins

The other day Jake heard the boys giggling and giggling and when he finally found them, this is what he found:
Even though they do their share of fighting, they really are best little friends and I love it when they play so cute together. And yes perhaps the dryer is not the best place for them to be playing... But they can get eachother laughing pretty hard so sometimes they can be the cutest little giggle twins!
