Date With Carson

One of our New Year's resolutions this year is for Jake or I to take the kids on one-on-one little dates. Shalise went to Artic Circle with Jake a few weeks ago so I took Carson swimming in Sandy. Marcus doesn't know what he wants to do yet, but he will be next... Here are some pictures of Carson swimming, he was in heaven!!

More Winter Sledding

The kids have done a lot of fun riding with their cousins, luckily most of the snow is gone now because I am a little burnt out from taking them so much! But they do love it. :)

Love this picture

That's nummy mommy!

Shalise is my child that loves to eat and she is always asking me what we are having for breakfast or lunch or dinner... So I will tell her and then she always gets really excited and says, "Mmmm, that's nummy mommy!" It's so funny, it makes me laugh every time she says it. Who knew a child would get so excited to eat!

Happy New Year 2011!

We spent New Year's Eve with Jake's family and had a lot of fun playing games and eating yummy appetizers! The kids had a lot of fun playing with their cousins and Carson even got to play a game of pool with Gramps that he has not stopped talking about! Shalise was in heaven with all the little girls and Marcus had so much fun seeing McCall, a cousin that lives out of state that he doesn't see often. He has not stopped talking about her! Carson also followed his cousin Austin around for a while, they are so nice to humor the toddlers! I'm sure that's the last thing the teenagers want to do is play with the little kids, but they are so nice to play with them! Thanks, you guys are the best!

More Riding and Sledding!

It snowed a few times over the break so we went out just about every day with neighbors, friends, family etc and did some riding on the Ranger and 4wheeler and pulled sleds behind them. I think Carson is obsessed now! It was only 10 degrees outside the last time we went out but that didn't stop us! Ok maybe we are die hards, a little... :) Here are some pictures from different days over the break that we played out in the snow!

Dinner With The Cousins

We had Jake's family over for dinner a couple days after Christmas. I took the kids out on the Ranger and 4Wheeler for a while. We went through some fun mud puddles and trails, it was a lot of fun! We then ate cafe rio style dinner and played Just Dance on the Wii, the kids all had a lot of fun and it was great to have the family over!

Christmas 2010

Well we have had a fabulous Christmas holiday. The boys both had the programs at school right before the break. Marcus loved every second of it and was so cute to watch. Carson on the other hand was so not happy to participate and came and sat by me most of the time. Later that day he came down with a fever and sore throat so that is probably why he wasn't very happy to sing. Our whole family was sick over that weekend but luckily we all got better before Christmas!
We spent Christmas Eve and Nana and Gramps house with all the family and cousins. The kids did a little talent show that was really cute and mostly played with their cousins. They also got to open their new pajamas to wear that night. Then Jake and I were up pretty late getting everything ready for Christmas morning!
The kids had so much fun opening their presents, they were so excited! Shalise got a doll and beauty salon from Santa and lots of other stuff as you can see in the picture! Marcus got an art desk from Santa and Carson got a Spark Scooter and an airport GeoTrax. Carson was not in the picture with his loot because he spent a good chunk of Christmas morning playing in the bathtub with his new snorkel set! Silly kid.... The kids sure had fun playing with their new toys all morning!
That afternoon we went to Nana and Gramps house again and the kids got to open their presents from their grandparents. Shalise also got to open her birthday present from Nana and Gramps. She got some dress up shoes and some dress up clothes. Marcus got a little laptop and coloring supplies and Carson got two big tonka trucks. They were very excited!
