Family Pictures

We went a couple weeks ago to take pictures with all the Gillen kids. Nana and Gramps wanted a picture of all the grandkids out here together before Nick and Britta move. Here are a few pictures that I snapped. The kids sure looked good! :)

 

 

Student of the Month

Carson was chosen last month in his class to be the Student of the Month. The quality they were looking for this month was someone who showed good traits in Conflict Resolution. His teacher said he is famous for saying "Let's not argue" and is always very cooperative and avoids conflicts. We are so proud of him!!

Nono's Birthday and Kai's Baptism

 

 

 

We celebrated Nono's birthday at the beginning of May and also cousin Kai's baptism. We went to a park after the baptism and the kids had fun feeding the ducks and playing. It was a fun family weekend!

Run for Boston

 

 

These pictures were taking when we were gearing up to run a race last  month. A friend of mine from the kids school was at the Boston Marathon and finished the race like 10 minutes before the bombs went off. She wanted to do Run for Boston race to raise money for the victims. So me and kids decided to go. It was a 5K or a 1 mile fun run. We decided to do the 1 mile but it turned into quite the event! After the race started we realized there was no one directing people where to go for the 1 mile so we all ended up doing the 5k. Carson ran ahead of me at the beginning and I didn't see him again til the end. I hear he ran the whole thing! I ended up piggybacking Shalise most of the way because it was a lot longer than we had expected to run! Marcus had run ahead of me too but when we got to the end he wasn't there. So I ran back about halfway and found him by himself just plugging along. I don't know how he got behind me. He wasn't scared or anything but I could tell he was just starting to get nervous. So I think I ended up running more like an 8k or something and with Shalise on my back half the time. I was a little sore the next day!!

My Little Fashionista!

Shalise got this Barbie outfit book for Easter and loves it, even takes it to bed with her most nights! :)
