Carson's Preschool Graduation

Carson had his Prechool graduation last night and it was really cute. They sang a couple songs (I was impressed that Carson knew all the words and he sang loud) and the teacher read some funny things the kids had said. She said one day she asked all the kids what Velcro was and went through several of the answers, then she said that Carson's was the funniest one, he said it was "when you go sledding and you go Velcro!" He was pretty funny during the ceremony, he had little comments and giggles and I can see how he is the class clown. He loved all the little kids in his class and I can tell they love him! So he will definitely miss it. His teacher also gave the kids a 3 ring binder portfolio with some of their work and lots of pictures, she spent a lot of time on them, I can tell, they were really cute and a fun thing for him to have to remember his Preschool class. Here are some pictures:

No Training Wheels!

Carson never ceases to amaze me! The kid sets his mind to something and can pretty much do anything! We were at Heidi's today so the kids could play with their cousins and Carson jumps on a bike with no training wheels and decides he is going to ride it. He wobbles around for maybe like 3 seconds and then he's off! I asked if he needed any help and he told me no mom, I can do it! He spent the next two hours riding that bike all over the place. The other kids had a lot of fun too. It was such a nice day and we had a picnic and the kids really enjoyed playing together. Caden just got a bike with pegs on it to give kids rides and I think he was pretty worn out after giving all the kids a turn! He's always such a nice cousin and such a good sport about playing with the "little kids", we love him! Thanks Heidi for a very fun afternoon! And I'm sure Carson will be telling or showing anyone who will listen about his new "no training wheels" skill!

The Things Kids Say...

Carson told me the other day that red is a very beautiful color.

Carson also asked the other day lots of questions about Mother's day and Father's day and who gets presents and when. And when he realized that he doesn't get a present on either of those days he asked me when "Kid day" was so just the kids could get presents...

I was asking Shalise today if she was my pretty girl and she said no, then I asked if she was my little muffin and she said no, I asked if she was my cutie pie and she looked very frustrated and said no, princess! So note to self, the only nickname allowed to call her right now is little princess!

Marcus is funny because he never really says if he is enjoying something at the time when we are doing it, but the way I know he likes it is because he NEVER stops talking about it after. So his top 3 things that he likes right now, that he talks about ALL THE TIME are wearing shorts, playing TBall and going to the Aquarium...

Aquarium Visit, Bike Rides and TBall

The kids have been going crazy being inside all the time with the rainy weather so we got aquarium passes. The kids love it! They now have penguins at the aquarium which the kids love to watch them jump and swim. Carson also loves the sting rays and wants to touch them SO bad but gets nervous and won't do it. Marcus really likes looking at the fish and Shalise said her favorite thing was candy. That would be the candy I bring so she doesn't freak out with sittting in the stroller the whole time. She gets a little figdety but is ok if I keep the candy coming! I tried to get a picture of all of them together but could not get ANY of them to look at the camera, too busy looking around I guess!
The kids wanted to ride bikes the other day where there is "more space" so we went to a church parking lot and they had a lot of fun! Shalise didn't last outside very long, apparently it was too "windy" for her so she wanted to sit on her bike inside the back of the car, crazy girl...

Carson and Marcus started their Tball season and it's fun to have them playing together on the same team. Marcus loves to hit the ball and run the bases, he is a good hitter! But he could care less about playing outfield as I'm sure you can tell in his pictures... Carson loves to play outfield and is very engaged. He got to play first base for a whole inning and could not have been happier! In fact I couldn't get any pictures of him in the outfield because he is so busy and running all over! He also likes to hit the ball and run the bases.
