We went to San Diego with Ben and Mindy and we had so much fun! The first day we left around 4pm and drove to St George. We stayed at Nana and Gramps condo there and left early they next morning and headed to San Diego. We got there around dinnertime.The kids went to the beach as soon we got there in their clothes and everything! Jake and Ben took the kids to the beach after they changed and Mindy and I went to get groceries. The next day we spent the entire day at the beach! It was so much fun. The kids loved playing with Ben's boogie boards and digging in the sand and playing in the ocean. The next day was Sunday. We tried to go to church but it was Stake Conference so we went to the Mormon Battalion Visitor's Center instead. After that we packed up and drove to Anaheim to get ready for Disneyland the next day. We also met up with a friend of Jake's from work in Anaheim and that was fun.
Monday we went to California Adventure and had a great time. The kids went on all the rides they wanted to and I didn't feel like we spent more than 20 minutes or so in line for a ride. It was a long day but really fun. We actually ended up leaving around 8pm because the kids were so tired. Tuesday we went to Disneyland and that was really fun too. It was a LOT more crowded so there was a lot of things we didn't get to do. I am already planning our next trip... hopefully next time we can go on more rides that we missed. But the kids had a lot of fun, Shalise saw all the princesses and characters during the parade and we had a really good time there with Ben and Mindy's family. We didn't leave til almost 10pm and drove back to San Diego.
The kids slept in a little bit the next day which was nice. We went to a different beach this day that was less crowded and was really nice. We spent a lot of time there and the kids just loved it! Thursday we didn't do a whole lot and spent the afternoon at the pool. We did also walk on the boardwalk and go shopping and stuff like that during the week which was fun. We drove back to St George on Friday. It was a LONG drive due to road construction and stuff. We didn't get there til almost 9pm. Saturday we just hung out in St George. We did laundry, went swimming at the pool, took the kids to a movie etc. Then Sunday we headed back home. It was a great trip with a lot of really fun memories!
