Family Pictures

We had my Dad go with us the other day to take some new family pictures. Our other ones are 2 years old so it was nice to get some updated ones! Here is Shalise getting ready to go take pictures, pulling out her poses I guess...

Here are the pictures we took, I think they turned out pretty good!

Fractured or Not Fractured?

During Thanksgiving break Shalise did something to her foot to hurt it. We don't know how she did it but the day after Thanksgiving she couldn't walk and said "Mom I just don't know why I can't stand on my foot." I took her in and had it x-rayed and they said they couldn't tell if it was fractured or not. I was supposed to take her a few days later to get it x-rayed again to look and see if new bone was growing, I guess that's how they know it's fractured. But she has been walking good on it the last few days so think maybe she just sprained it. She did get to have it wrapped and wear a fancy little shoe for a week. She definitely liked the attention people gave her! We are glad it wasn't anything too serious!

Happy 6th Birthday Marcus!

Marcus had a "Polar Express" themed birthday party with his friends last Saturday. They all came in their pajamas and we played fun games and did some crafts. We read the Polar Express book and had cake and hot chocolate. Marcus had a lot of fun with his little friends. Today was his actual birthday, he got to take a treat to school to share, he opened his presents from us and then went to dinner with Nana and Gramps. He got legos, a pillow pet and basketball pants (loves them) from us. He sure has had a fun weekend and a great birthday today!

First Snow!

We already had our first good snowfall, in fact I think this is more snow than we had all last year! The kids got the sleds out and hit the hills by our house. Shalise and Marcus only lasted about 10 minutes before they wanted to come home and get hot chocolate but Carson was out for about an hour. Looks like we are going to have a snowy winter this year! My kids sure hope so anyway!

Halloween 2012

On Halloween the boys got to wear their costumes to school. They had a little parade that Shalise and I went and watched. Then I helped with Carson's class party, Shalise helped for a little bit and then got a ride to her Preschool Party. The kids got out at noon that day so we went to lunch at Artic Circle that they had all decked out in Halloween stuff. The kids loved it. Then we went to a trunk-or-treat that afternoon at a car dealership with a neighbor. Then we got home just in time to get ready to go trick-or-treating. We went for almost 2 1/2 hours! It was such great weather and the kids loved it. We put lights and spiderwebs on our ranger again so that makes it easier to cover more ground! Carson went for an hour then wanted to come home and pass out candy. And yes the kids did change costumes several times throughout the day... We had a LONG day, but it was really fun!
