Pioneer Day

On Pioneer Day we ran a bunch of errands all morning so we wanted to have a fun afternoon. I decided to take the kids and check out the "Lehi Foam Day", it was CRAZY to say the least! Carson took one look and wanted to leave. It may have been fun if there had been like 2,000 less people! So we pretty much looked at the firetrucks and then left, we didn't last very long and the kids didn't get one single drop of "foam" or water on them. So when we got home we got out the slip 'n slide and pool and the kids played and ate dinner outside and then we did our own little fireworks show outside our house. It was a fun holiday!

Flip Flops

Shalise started wearing different flip flops on each foot on purpose and now my other kids have decided it's the cool thing to do, so every day this is what we see:
Crazy kids...

Happy Birthday Heidi!

We had Heidi over the other night for dinner. We had a yummy brisket dinner and then went for a fun Ranger ride with all the kids, it was a lot of fun! Happy Birthday!!

"Glenwood Girls" Reunion

I recently found a few of my old roommates on facebook and realized that we all live within like 20 minutes from eachother! So we decided to get together for dinner and catch up. I have seen most of them in over 7 or 8 years so it was really fun to get together and catch up on eachother's lives. And we will definitely be getting together more often, we realized how much we've missed eachother! Love you guys!!

AF High School Carnival

My mom and I took the kids to a little Carnival that the High School in AF was putting on. They had little kiddie rides, the big bouncy houses and slides and lots of little carnival games. It was actually really fun having high school kids in charge of most of the booths because they were really cute with the kids. Carson was obsessed with the police cars and spent a lot of time there sitting inside the car and talking to the officer. I'm pretty sure he even knew his name but I can't remember it now... Carson also got his face painted. Shalise got a heart on her cheek and then was done. Marcus loved the bouncy house and spent a lot of time there with my mom. He was upset later that he didn't get his face painted but at the time he wanted to bounce, so maybe next time! The kids also got prizes for all the little carnival games they did and ended up with quite a loot to take home! It was a fun evening!

Highland Splash Park

Highland has a splash pad that we discovered and the kids love it! It has a little stream that runs through it and has some rocks that shoot out water and then a water fountain area. We spent a couple hours there playing and the kids had a lot of fun. It was a great time and we will definitely be going back!

4th of July Weekend

We sure had a fun 4th of July weekend! We had a BBQ at Nana and Gramps house on Saturday and that was really fun. Then we came home and did some fireworks outside which the kids loved! After that we took our Ranger up the mountain and watched the Thanksgiving Point fireworks from there. The kids thought that was pretty cool! Monday morning the kids started swimming lessons and did great. Marcus and Shalise are the only ones in their class which is great, they did really well. Carson only has one other girl in his class so his class is small too. He is getting pretty close to being able to swim and I think by the end of his session he just might be doing it! After swimming I took the kids to Classic to swim since they were already in swimsuits and everything. We were the only people there for like an hour and a half so that was really fun! Then that evening we went down to the Chandler's for a BBQ and some more fireworks. We definitely had a fun filled 4th of July weekend!
