Cornbellys

We hit Cornbelly's pretty early in October this year so we had really good weather. The kids played with some friends at the park by their school and then we headed over to Cornbellys for the rest of the afternoon. They had a lot of fun things to do there, dressing up, tractors, slides, contests and more. It was so nice to have great weather and the kids had a lot of fun enjoying all the fall activities there.

School Jog-A-Thon

The kids had a fund raiser at their school where they ran in a jog-a-thon. They got pledges for how many laps they could run. The kids all did fabulous, each of them ran about a mile and a half! I think I ended up running almost 4 miles by the time I got done running with each of them! I was so proud of them and their hard work!

More 4Wheeling

We had Ben and Mindy's family over for dinner and went riding up the mountain. It's so pretty to get the top and look over and see the lake and where we live. It's always a fun ride to do with people!

Bridal Veil Falls

We had so much fun up Cottonwood Canyon that the next weekend we decided to go hike up Bridal Veil Falls and then drove through the Alpine Loop and visited the lake on the other side in American Fork. The kids had a great time wading through the water and hiking around. They also had fish you could feed that Shalise loved. The canyons were beautiful and we had a great time as a family.

Small Act of Kindness

So the other day Carson decided he wanted to go around the neighborhood and collect cans to recycle. He came across a construction worker who was impressed and said he would collect some and set it out for Carson. Carson watched out the window and was so excited when he saw cans out there and went to get them. The construction worker had set out a big box of cans and also left a note on one of the cans for Carson, you can't see it in the picture but it says: "For Carson, you are a great kid buddy! Keep up the great work you will do great things some day. Thanks for being a great example to me-- 20 year old construction kid." I tried to go thank the kid after but he had already left so thanks to the anonymous construction worker, he has no idea how much you made my kid's day!!

Labor Day Weekend

Over Labor Day weekend we decided to enjoy one more time at the pool! We went to the Pleasant Grove pool this time. We have never been there before and the kids really liked it. It also was not very busy with people which made it even better! We are so not ready for summer to be over, no more pool days for us... :(
