Our Christmas Break started out a little rough. Shalise was sick on the last day of school before the break so she didn't go to her Christmas Program at school. She was sad, she had dressed up in her red dress and was so excited but then as the morning went on she had a fever and just didn't feel good. :( So that afternoon the kids had Movie Time in the family room. She was fine two days later... The kids also dressed up in Halloween costumes and played and also did a lot of sledding. It's sure nice to have a sledding hill so close to our house!

Jake's Loft Bed Project
Jake started a project at the beginning of December to make a loft bed for each of the kids. He spent a lot of time and work and I think they turned out amazing! I also bought some decorations for the kids rooms and their rooms look so much better! The kids absolutely love the beds and Shalise never comes out of her room anymore! Jake is very talented and I think he did an amazing job with them!

Shalise Gets a Haircut!
We have been talking about cutting Shalise's hair for a while and she finally got up the guts to do it! It is a big change but I love it! We think it looks super cute on her! Here are come pictures at the hair salon, the boys got haircuts too, then pictures of her with her new "do".

Happy 6th Birthday Shalise!!
Shalise's birthday is on Christmas so we usually celebrate it a couple weeks early. I want her to feel like she has her own special day too. So we celebrated about a week into December. She opened her birthday presents and chose a Minnie Mouse Cake. I can't believe she is 6 already! We love her!

Carson School Play
Carson's class did a school play of "Charlotte's Web". It was really cute and Jake and I enjoyed watching it. Carson was the horse and he did a great job! :)

Chess Club Tournament
The boys are in chess club at school and had their first tournament last week. It was a little chaotic, not very organized and lots of lots people everywhere. The boys were kind of nervous and didn't enjoy that part of it too much. But they had a good experience and hopefully next time is more organized and now they know more what to expect.

Ice Skating
I took the kids ice skating over the Thanksgiving Break. They have been begging to go! Carson did great and skated a lot. Marcus would only go around one time with me and I pretty much had to hold all his body weight up while he leaned on me. Shalise went about 10 feet and screamed bloody murder. She was terrified of falling for some reason... So the two little kids mostly just watched Carson and I skate. Oh well, maybe they will want to do more next time!
