President's Day

We had a fun President's Day a few days ago when the kids were out of school. First thing in the morning we went to go work out at the church, Carson told me that he never gets to come with me because he is always at school so he wanted to go work out with me, on a holiday... It snowed in the morning so after that we figured we would go enjoy it before it melted! I don't have any pcitures of Carson because he was off with some older kids making a jump, or something... Shalise and Marcus had a lot of fun with some friends. After sledding we went to McDonalds to play with some cousins and then we went to my parent's house and the kids played with their cousins even longer! It was a long day and the kids were pretty tired by the time we got home but it sure was fun!

Happy Valentine's Day!

The kids enjoyed some pink heart pancakes for Valentiene's Day, well except Carson, he refused to eat anything a different color so it was regular french toast for him! We had a good holiday and Jake and I were able to go to dinner and movie that night too.

Happy Birthday to Me!

I had a really good birthday! Ben and Mindy took our kids overnight on the weekend and Jake and I went to dinner, a movie and ran some errands. I know errands don't sound very fun, but sometimes it's nice to do some errands without the kids! Then I got a great night's sleep and didn't get up til 8am which was great! Then later that day Jake's parents watched the kids for a bit and we went to another movie, I do love going to movies! Then on my actual birthday we went to dinner with my parents and that was really fun. Jake gave me a Kindle Fire for my birthday and so far I love it! Best birthday for sure!

Tubing At Solider Hollow

We went tubing at Soldier Hollow this past week with my work. It was 2 days before my last day. Yes I put my 2 weeks notice in and am going to be a stay at home mom, at least for now! :) The kids had a lot of fun and it was great to have one last hurrah before I quit! Carson was in heaven and went down over and over and over... Marcus never did end up going down, he was too nervous. Shalise went a few times and then her last run down it was getting dark so it was more slippery and fast and she informed me that she did NOT want to go down again! After the tubing we got to eat dinner and hot chocolate. It was nice to get to hang out with people from my work and their families one last time. It's been almost 12 years that I have been there so it was nice to be able to see spouses and kids one more time and talk to people before I was done working. So thanks 1800Contacts for a fun activity with my family and for a great 11 years with the company!
